School Report Cards (SRC)

The School Report Card is published annually for every public-school campus in Texas. It includes key information from the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), as well as data from the Accountability Rating System for Texas Public Schools and Districts.

In accordance with Texas Education Code (TEC), Section 61.1021, school report cards must be distributed to parents or guardians within six weeks of notification from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) that the reports are available.

School Report Cards (SRC) inform families about a campus’ individual characteristics and its academic performance including STAAR and Academic Growth outcomes. The SRC also includes details on student attendance, enrollment, class sizes, and financial indicators. In addition, it presents the campus’s Overall Academic Accountability Rating, ratings for each accountability domain, and any Distinction Designations the campus has earned.

The school report card definitions, updated each year, explain several of the terms used in the SRC. The school report card definitions are also available in Spanish.
