Staci Weaver, Interim Superintendent

Greetings Legacy Families,

Lots of positive things will be happening at Legacy Preparatory Charter Academy this year, including a big change at the top.

Dr. Rebecca Good has retired after 10 years of service to LPCA. Mrs. Staci Weaver has been preparing for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year by diligently working with various members of the district's administration to ensure a smooth...

Dear Legacy PCA students, Staff, Parents and Community,

Welcome to another new school year. The 2021-2022 school year promises to be a great one. We are so excited to have all of our scholars returning to campus. I would like to take this opportunity to say I am honored and very excited to be your Superintendent of Schools.

Legacy PCA is one of the most innovative school districts in the state and we are preparing our scholars to be college, career and military ready. Since being here, I have learned that the tradition of excellence that exists is due to the wonderful people of our community and the hard work of our scholars and staff.

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself and my family. First and foremost, I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. My husband David and I have 2 adult children who are married, a son and a daughter, and one grandson. Our son is a realtor and an Aggie, he serves on the school board in Plano ISD and our daughter is a teacher at LPCA, and a UTSA Roadrunner. We are very proud of our children, they are good people, and we are proud of their service to their community. I tell you this because my experiences as a mother have helped to shape me as an educator and a leader.

I deeply believe in a quality and inclusive education for all scholars. LPCA is known not only for its trilingual education and STEM programs, but also for the positive and healthy relationships between staff and scholars. I take very seriously that you have entrusted your children to our care and expect our fine staff to give their best day in and day out.

My mission as your Superintendent is also my passion, and is the reason I do what I do. That is, to provide every scholar the same opportunities, retain and grow engaging teachers and cultivate a learning environment that provides every scholar with a sense of belonging while helping students to grow academically, emotionally and socially. It is a priority that every scholar is successful, graduates from high school, and has the knowledge and skills to be a productive and contributing member of society, while still achieving their goals and dreams.

I have been fortunate to have worked in LPCA central office for the past three years as the Senior Director of School Operations. This has given me the opportunity to build trust, rapport, and relationships that will ensure we are sustainable, resilient, and persevere. I believe we have the right staff in the right places to maintain our excellence and drive us forward with continuous improvement.

There is so much for our scholars to be excited about when they return on Monday, August 9th. All of our programs, clubs, and athletics will resume. We are looking forward to a continuation of a strong PTO presence, and the return of our many festivals and scholar performances.

Finally, I want to congratulate Dr.Rebecca Good for her 10 years of exemplary leadership of LPCA. I wish her well in her retirement.

Warmest regards,
Staci L. Weaver, MBA

Estimados estudiantes, personal, padres y comunidad de Legacy PCA:

Bienvenidos a otro nuevo año escolar.

Staci L. Weaver, MBA
